Experience: I have been a classroom teacher since 1997. I’ve taught Kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, and a third/fourth grade combination.

Let me take a moment to introduce myself. I was born in Hutchinson, MN on January 14, 1975. I have one older brother and two younger half sisters. I attended a parochial elementary and a public high school. During my senior year of high school, I enrolled in three sign language college classes. After graduating high school in 1993, I went to Concordia College in St. Paul, MN. There I received a BA in Elementary Education, a concentration in Religion and minor in Communication.

I’ve known since third grade that I would be a teacher. My first teaching job was at Redeemer Lutheran in Las Vegas, NV in 1997. During my three years at Redeemer, I taught third grade and a third/fourth combination class. I began working at Green Valley Christian School in 2000 where I taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. My hobbies include reading and scrap-booking.  I also love making blankets and counted cross stitch. My favorite drink is Starbucks, favorite food is ice cream, favorite store is Target, and favorite sports are baseball and football.
