Fourth grade is full of wonderful and exciting things to learn.  Have you ever made a rocket or used a microscope? You will this year! Have you ever tried to eat a worm? What do you know about our wonderful State of Nevada?  Have you ever wanted to be someone famous? You’ll get your chance to this year in our Live Wax Museum. These are just a few of the many things to look forward to in fourth grade.

Let me tell you a little about myself.  My name is Mrs. Sonja Finley-Tratos.   (Many of my students call me Mrs. T.)  This is my fourth year teaching at GVCS, however, I have been teaching creative dramatics for several years.   I have a 13 year-old daughter named Tristan who attended GVCS from kindergarten to seventh grade. I have a wonderful husband, Mel, to whom I have been married for 18 years, and a Bichion dog named Noodle.  For fun I like to participate in local community theatre productions, scrapbook and travel.

My name is Amy Buckels. This will be my third year as a teacher’s assistant in fourth grade. I have been married to my awesome husband, Chris, for 15 years, and we have two children that attend GVCS, Matthew is 10 years old and Katie is 7. My oldest son Sam, 12 years old, attends Calvary Chapel Middle School where he is a star football player and all around great young man. We also have a schnoodle dog named Shaggy as well as a lot of fish. When I actually have spare time, I like to Facebook and read.

We are truly excited for every new school year to start and to see what wonderful things God has planned for us. Your special adventure in fourth grade is ready to begin so just remember to wear your smile, enter the classroom with an open mind, and get ready to have lots of fun!
