Textbooks and supplementary materials are carefully selected to provide an excellent education at every grade level and are furnished for all students. We have chosen Bob Jones University (BJU), ABeka, Purposeful Design, and Saxon Math as our main curriculum. More specific classroom goals and objectives can be obtained from your student's teacher. In an effort to give your child a well rounded academic education and further enhance your child’s learning experience the following activities are offered: field trips, Science Fair, Technology Education, After School Clubs, Art, and Physical Education. Elementary age children learn best through hands-on experience. A learning center approach is utilized. Before children work on paper, they are given opportunities to manipulate objects in preparation for the more abstract work. Lessons are presented visually, audibly, and kinesthetically to encourage all types of learners. The students are prepared for the next grade by enhancing their social-emotional development, Christian development, and self-help skills. Children are encouraged to learn manuscript and cursive writing, science concepts, technology, mathematics, reading, oral presentations, social studies, art, music, physical education and Bible scriptures. |
